Hey there! I’m actually not sure. Samantha, the founder of the Facebook group, seems to keep all of her orchids in semi-water culture all the time.
Now that I’ve done SWC for a month, I do find it somewhat of a chore to fill and empty the bowls since they’re in my living room, away from any sinks. Most of my other plants only need watering every 2 weeks - I know the sphagnum moss used to hold water for about that length of time.
