Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six alarms, six suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, three disturbances, two 911 hang up calls, a fire department assist, a credit card fraud, a trespassing, a noise complaint and an improper parking.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued 53 traffic citations, and made nine arrests on the following charges: (2) public intoxications, (2) possession of drug paraphernalia, (2) careless driving with DUI, a driving the wrong way on a one-way with a DUI, a careless driving with suspended driver’s license, and a simple assault with disorderly conduct.
University police responded to the following incidents: a report of a suspicious person at George Hall, a suspicious vehicle at Starnes Training Center, and a fire alarm at Natural Products Center.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a general alarm malfunction at St. Andrews Methodist Church, an activated alarm system accidentally set off by electricians at Natural Products, a water flow alarm activated by a breaker tripped by compressor at Brevard Hall, a busted sprinkler pipe due to the cold weather at Faulkner Flats #705, a busted sprinkler pipe due to the cold weather at Phi Delta Theta house, a busted sprinkler pipe due to the cold weather at 1100 Augusta Drive buildings 800-900, a busted sprinkler pipe due to the cold weather at Kappa Alpha Theta House, a busted sprinkler pipe due to the cold weather at Faulkner flats building 10, a busted sprinkler pipe due to the cold at Faulkner Flats building 12, a bursted sprinkler pipe due to the cold weather at High Point Condos #1501, a vehicle fire that was extinguished upon arrival at 100 Anchorage Road, a busted sprinkler pipe at Marriott Townhouse Suites, a prank pull of the fire alarm at the Rooster’s, and a water flow alarm but no broken pipe was found at South Residential College.
