ST PATRICK’S MISSIONARY SOCIETY SEEKS THE SERVICES OF
POSITION:A SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN’S OFFICER
DUTIES:
• Train, supervise, motivate and monitor Safeguarding Children Committees in all St Patrick’s Parishes, Institutions and Formation Houses
• Develop suitable manuals, ICT materials, posters and flyers to assist in the training
• Liaise with other congregations, faiths and government officials
• Implement and oversee the Child Safeguarding Policy of St Patrick’s Missionary Society
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Primary Degree or better from a reputable university in social science or law
• Minimum three years experience in implementing change programmes with a child protection element
• Proven project application writing and reporting skills as well as basic accounting ability
• Able to work without supervision, while showing initiative and creativity
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Job will involve extensive travel in Kenya and South Sudan
• Successful candidates will be required to work unsocial hours including weekends
• Commitment and devotion to safeguarding children wherever they are
