The best player in the world is named for the eighth time in his career to the All-NBA first team.

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James has been named to the All-NBA First Team alongside Kevin Durant, Joakim Noah, Chris Paul and James Harden.

Durant is the lone unanimous selection to the team with 125 first-team votes. LeBron received 124 votes and represents the eighth time he has been named to the First Team in his career and his seventh in a row. Durant has been named to the First Team five times and Paul four times. Noah and Harden made the team for the first time in their careers.

The All-NBA Teams were chosen by a panel of 125 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. The media voted for All-NBA First, Second and Third Teams by position with points awarded on a 5-3-1 basis.

Dwyane Wade received just 6 votes, likely as a result of his season-long maintenance program, while Chris Bosh has just one vote to his name.

The HEAT's press release has these details about LeBron's latest impressive NBA season:

LeBron James appeared in 77 games (all starts) and averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.57 steals and 37.7 minutes while shooting a career-high 56.7 percent from the field, improving his field goal percentage for the seventh consecutive season. He connected on 116 three-point field goals, marking the second-straight season he has made over 100 three-point field goals while shooting at least 55 percent from the field after shooting 56.5 percent from the field while making 103 from downtown last season, no other player in NBA history has accomplished that feat during a single season even once. James scored a team-high 2,089 points, the ninth 2,000-point season of his career, becoming just the fourth player in NBA history to post nine 2,000-point seasons. Additionally, he scored his 23,000th career point on April 4 vs. Minnesota, and at 29 years, 95 days old, he became the youngest player to hit that mark in NBA history. He capped the regular season scoring in double-figures in 572 consecutive overall games, the current streak is now the fourth-longest in NBA history.

James, a two-time NBA Player of the Month and two-time NBA Player of the Week this season, led the HEAT in points, rebounds (533), assists (489), steals (121), field goals made (767), free throws made (439) and tied for three-point field goals made. He led Miami in scoring 55 times, the fourth-most during a single-season in team history, including a career-high 61-point night on March 3 vs. Charlotte. Among league leaders this season, the 10-time NBA All-Star, finished third in points per game, fourth in field goal percentage, sixth in minutes per game, 10th in assists per game and 18th in steals per game.
