Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse - (NICU RN)

Exclusive order to AMN. The flagship Medical Center for this major hospital organization, is community-focused, with a highly specialized care environment. Located in East Bay of the San Francisco area, and only 12 miles from downtown. Enjoy 13 weeks in a variety of adventure in culture, arts and food.
This NICU Level 3 unit treats premature, neuro surgery, general surgery patieints. Patients may requires Jet Vent, Servo-I, nitric oxide or whole body cooling. The following meds are administered within this unit: dopamine, morphie, EPI, fentanyl, dobutamine drips.

The role of the neonatal intensive care nurse (NICU nurse) is to provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy. Working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals, the NICU RNs assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.
Required Qualifications
3 yrs experience in Neonatal Level III nursery.
May expected to float and cross train to at least 1 other Maternal Child Health/Family Centered Care area with appropriate certifications.
Current NRP, BLS, PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
Kaiser experienced
Health Connect trained
