POSITION: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
WORK LOCATIONS: Palmdale CA

HOURS PER PAY PERIOD: 36 hours per week
SHIFT: Days, 0700-1930 or Nights, 1900-0730 with 30 minute break and 2, 15 minute breaks

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time Traveler. Don't want fulltime? Ask us about Per-Diem

REQUIREMENTS FOR THESE POSITIONS:

The perfect candidate must have 1 or more years of current Inpatient acute care experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, ICU, ER or Cardiac Cath Lab within the past 3 years. Current California RN License required. Current BLS required for all specialties. Telemetry Nurses require an ACLS. Emergency Room Nurses and Trauma Nurses must be TNCC, ACLS and PALS certified. ICU/Critical Care Unit Nurses and DOU/Direct Observation Unit Nurses must have cardiac and pediatrics experience, ACLS and PALS. Must be able to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development

We work with some of the most prestigious hospitals in California, staffing Registered Nurses for all specialties. The registered nurse must be professional, experienced and caring, as customer service is the priority for our prestigious hospitals. We are looking for all specialties to work travel contracts and per-diem assignments statewide. RNs must have at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty applied for. Travel experience is preferred, but not required. If you wish to apply for a different specialty not listed above, or are looking to work on a per-diem basis, we may have positions available. Responsibilities include:

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

Performs focused interview to identify specific patient's needs.

Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.

Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual

and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Plans for expected outcomes of care for those patients assigned.

Communicates nursing interventions, expected outcomes and the time frames for expected completion to

other members of the hospital health care team.

Functions as a resource to the health care team members in planning for patient's discharge.

Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and

selected nursing interventions.

Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.

Monitors consistency between patient plan of care and actions of medical staff.

Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient

care outcome standard.

Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment.

Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.

Compares expected and actual outcomes of care and identifies deviation from the plan of care.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.

Current Health Certificate (if applicable).

Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.

The physical ability and perceptual acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and

indirect patient care functions.

Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.

Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.

Minimum of one year acute care experience in the area of expertise within the last three years preferred.

Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facility requirement).
