Smashburger, one of the fastest growing restaurant concepts in history, has launched its second UK site on North Street in Brighton, just minutes from the iconic pier and cobble beach.

Smashed fresh. Served delicious.

Smashburger is already a hit stateside for its innovative approach to the humble burger, transforming the fast food staple from the predictably mediocre to a must-try explosive taste sensation.

What makes this burger different? The secret’s in the “smash” – a unique method of cooking whereby 100% British beef is hand-formed into a meatball and smashed onto a hot buttered grill, searing in all the juices and flavour, producing a burger unlike any other. Combining this unique cooking method with the best of British ingredients from UK suppliers makes for a truly standout burger.

Burger better

Bringing bags of experience to the UK burger scene, Smashburger offers a premium product at an affordable price, effortlessly combining the quality of high-end casual dining with speed, efficiency and value. The group is redefining expectations and creating a category of its very own, proving that the burger experience can be a superior one. The burgers are always made-to-order, never frozen, and all produce is sourced from reputable, local UK suppliers and designed to be cooked and ready to devour in less than six minutes.

More than just a burger

Showcasing the best of British is the foundation of the hand-crafted menu, with other tasty options including juicy grilled and crispy chicken breast sandwiches; garlic grilled Portobello cap mushroom vegetarian burger; freshly prepared salads and irresistible sides like the garlic and rosemary Smash fries and crunchy veggie frites.

The UK exclusive Stilton Stack burger marries the signature “smash” patty with sweet chutney, fresh rocket, crispy haystack onions, Applewood smoked bacon and Stilton cheese, all piled high on a Smash bun.

Fizz for every occasion

Superior burgers need a drinks offering to match, and Smashburger’s list of libations does not disappoint. Blending cultures from both sides of the pond, Smashburger will offer a local Brighton beer, Hophead by Dark Star Brewing Company, alongside a choice of red, white and rose wines and prosecco.

There’s plenty of soft fizz too, the Coca Cola Freestyle touch-screen soda fountains contain over 100 different fizzy combinations from your favourite brands including Coca Cola, Fanta, Dr. Pepper, Sprite and Powerade. Or, truly indulge with a creamy ‘handspun’ shake made with Häagen–Dazs® ice cream in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, Oreo and chocolate Oreo flavours.

A slice of the pie

Spread across two floors featuring two distinctive bay windows overlooking the bustling street below, the 102 cover restaurant follows hot off the heels of the first UK site which opened in Milton Keynes in May. The interiors combine raw architecture in the form of exposed brick walls and a fireplace, cast iron beams and the iconic, instantly recognisable New York style fire escape staircase. The contemporary furnishings, upcycled features and modern lantern lighting, seamlessly emulate a slice of the Big Apple’s edgy meatpacking district, resulting in an industrial setting with a modern feel.

Curved banquette seating provides stylish comfort for large groups and gatherings, while the ground floor window seats are the perfect place to watch the world go by.
