The Buell Group has further strengthened its position as the most comprehensive advisory and service resource for the hospitality and leisure industries with the appointment of five new Business Associates and five new Business Partners.

The new Business Associates are:

Charles Prew – who joins as Managing Director, Hotels and advisor to the Buell Board. Charles has enjoyed a distinguished career in the hotel industry working with companies including Jarvis, the Petchey Group; Puma Hotels; Von Essen and The Legacy Group specialising in both building business and turning those in trouble around.

Carl Donnelly – founder of Cardale Hotel Consultancy (2003) advising private equity and corporate finance providers in the hotel and leisure sectors on strategic reviews, corporate turnarounds and asset management. Carl has over 35 years of hotel industry experience particularly in the UK mid-market hotel sector.

Gavin Percy – a Business Development Strategist who works predominantly in the 3 and 4 star hotel market, Gavin has developed a range of processes and training courses for hotel owners, operators and their teams via his ‘Winning Edges’ scheme.

Steve Cash – until joining Buell, Steve worked for Mitchells & Butlers latterly running Harvester Restaurants. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge of pubs, bars and the branded restaurants sector and further adds to Buell’s expertise in these areas of the market.

Peter Gardiner – Peter bridges the gap between sales, distribution and operational management with over 30 years’ experience driving business growth in the full service and budget hotel sector including Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants, Premier Inn and Swallow Hotels.

The new Business Partners are:

The Tender Management Company which works to reduce procurement costs for businesses in the hospitality sector.

Fox PR – a PR company working exclusively in the luxury hotel market.

Footfall Analytics Limited – who measure ‘dwell’ time and customer behaviour in public spaces (hotels, retail, restaurants) via technology with the subsequent data produced used to re-design space to increase sales.

The Hotel Marketing Company –a marketing business which assists businesses wishing to sell and promote products and services to operating businesses within the hospitality and leisure sectors.

Springford Architects – a cutting edge architectural and design practice based in Edinburgh which is particularly focused on the hotel and restaurant sector

Launch of Buell Connect

2014 will also see the launch of Buell Connect – a unique membership club for independent hospitality and leisure operators allowing the Buell Group to build further on its role as a key advisor to the hospitality and leisure industry.

Buell Connect will provide members with access to expertise from industry leaders on all aspects of running a successful hospitality business. It also offers invitations to premier networking and other industry events; as well as opportunities to receive free frontline advice from a range of Buell Business Partners and Associates and to work with them at specially negotiated rates to improve business performance and drive growth.

Buell Connect will ‘soft’ launch in March 2014 and will be officially launched on Tuesday 29 April at Hotelympia.
