The ONE Group, owners of STK and Heliot at the Hippodrome, has recently become a publicly traded company in the US, a move that will lead to further UK expansion in UK cities and new sites in London.

Raising $44.3m of investment incorporating a business combination with Committed Capital Acquisition Corporation, The ONE Group plans to build on the success of STK and Cucina Asellina on the Strand and Heliot Restaurant, Lounge and Bar at the Hippodrome Casino in London.

Founder and CEO Jonathan Segal aims to expand the STK brand across the UK and Europe and will lead the company, whose name will change to The ONE Group, Inc. He was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013 Award winner, after building the group from one restaurant in New York in 2006 to a global company with an estimated $125 million in revenue this year.

With successful restaurants in Miami, New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, STK London launched on The Strand in the UK in December 2012.  The much-anticipated first international outpost for the group, STK London offers a modern twist on the traditional steakhouse and complete nightlife destination.  Since opening, the restaurant has been frequented by an array of celebrities and played host to many high profile events including the Justin Timberlake Album Playback Party.

New York-based ONE Group operates seven STK restaurants across the United States, in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Las Vegas, New York and Miami, as well as locations in London. An eighth location is currently under development in Washington, D.C. and further sites in the UK and Europe.

The STK menu provides a variety of portion sizes and signature options to appeal to a broad customer demographic. There are currently seven STK restaurants in major metropolitan cities, including Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York (2), London, and Miami, which is in the process of being re-located in South Beach. An additional STK is under development in Washington, D.C.

The ONE Group’s food and beverage hospitality services business provides the development, management and operations for premier restaurants and turn-key food and beverage services at high-end boutique hotels and casinos. Through developmental and operational expertise, The ONE Group is able to provide comprehensive tailored food and beverage solutions to its hospitality clients. Fee-based solutions include developing, managing and operating restaurants, bars, rooftops, pools, banqueting, catering, private dining rooms, room service and mini bars on a contract basis.

The ONE Group currently has four food & beverage hospitality contracts with hotels and casinos throughout the United States and in London, including leading global hospitality companies such as Gansevoort Hotel Group, Hippodrome Casino, ME Hotels, and Starwood Capital’s Perry Hotel.
