Sands Hotel excites in Margate

The Sands Hotel is an exciting new boutique hotel in a superb position on the Margate seafront.

Located in an elegant, sympathetically restored Victorian building, it offers a vibrant, contemporary and comfortable interior, allowing guests to relax and enjoy stunning views and magical sunsets over Margate Sands.

Find out whether the great British artist JMW Turner was right to comment that …

“…the skies over Thanet are the loveliest in all Europe.”

The Turner Contemporary Gallery itself is located just a few hundred metres from the hotel, a short walk past the Old Town, the recently revived creative quarter of Margate. The famous Margate Sands are of course merely just a step away.

HOAX boutique hostel opens opposite world famous Cavern Club

HOAX Liverpool & Hopskotch Street Kitchen and Bar, is now open for service after hosting its soft launch, and offers something completely new to the market, creating huge interest from international visitors, and also the younger local community, and overnighters from the UK.

Boutique hostel + Brooklyn-style bar + international street food

Combining boutique hostel accommodations and a trendy Brooklyn-style bar with a variety of international street food, is something which has not yet been done. The accommodation element will provide a refreshing change to budget hotels right in the midst of the city’s culture, and an offering of street food prepared by renowned chef Craig Sallery will gain interest from a wider audience. The Hatch on the other hand is a setting to showcase unique talent and offer a platform for local and international artists to perform right in the heart of Liverpool’s music hub.

The result of a joint venture between Starboard Hotels and Union Hanover, funded by BridgePoint Ventures and IPIN Global, the group of hostels will deliver a fresh, vibrant and sociable alternative to budget hotels in key tourist cities throughout the UK and Europe. Playing on the HOAX name, each property will be individually designed to have its own personality, with a common theme of playful and cheeky design through the portfolio.

Arc Inspirations sinks £800,000 in the Pit: Leeds’ Newest Bar

The Pit opens on 31 August: stripped back, urban and looking to establish itself as a unique bar serving great food in this vibrant, developing Northern Quarter of Leeds.  Its name may have been inspired by being underground, but it’s also thanks to the traditional way of cooking in the USA and around the world: dig pit, light fire, cook meat, cover and enjoy one of the best ways to keep food tender and flavoursome.

The urban design includes a sheared concrete curved bar, original brick and exposed beams, and oak and steel furniture handcrafted by local blacksmiths.  The Den is home to 2 custom-made ping pong tables and the White Room, is a little more refined for private parties and cocktail master classes.

The Pit will carry an ever changing range of innovative cocktails, premium craft beers from around the world as well as beers from well known and lesser known breweries, also its very own beer. The finest selection of steaks, lobster, burgers, ribs and wings are main ingredients of the menu devised by John Richold, Arc Inspirations’ legendary executive chef.
