If you’re following me on Pinterest, you’ve seen some of my more recent pins to my ‘Beach House’ board. Beach house style inspiration is life by the water, fresh air, ocean breeze, light colours, wind-blown beach hair, sea shells, hot days, cool nights, warm fires… you get the picture.
While I love the thought of full-time life by the lake (and I’ve got a board going for Cottage inspiration), some of my favourite photos to look at lately for home decor inspiration are definitely properties on the beach and beachy interior design.

1. Covered patio on the water. Covered porch, wicker chairs, x-framed entertaining table, light colours, and sunshine. This set up is perfect for entertaining family and friends. And with the ocean as a backdrop? You can’t go wrong.

2. Water on water. I love the idea of an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. There’s something so soothing about water and palm trees. This beach house patio is certainly modern, with clean lines and an overall minimalist aesthetic. And, what a great option to be able to open up a room by simply sliding back floor-to-ceiling doors.

3. Beach house bedroom. I’m a big fan of neutrals, and I love the way this beach house bedroom mimics beach hues and brings the outdoors in. The walls are a sandy shade, the main furniture is an ocean-foam blue hue, and the bedding and accents are cloud white or sand coloured. Add to that the walk-out patio and that lovely segmented oval window, and this is one room you wouldn’t want to leave (even for the beach)!

4. Beach house bathroom. From the wood-paneled walls to the marble counter, this beach house bathroom is beautiful. I love the soft blue shades and clean white cupboards and shutters; you really can’t go wrong with classic white. This beach house bathroom features plenty of storage and his-and-her sinks.

5. Beach house belle. Beyond the appeal of this beach house being right on the water, the exterior really is eye-catching because of that beautiful bell-shaped turret. An exquisite architectural element, the turret makes this whole home stand out. This beach house exterior also features several options for sitting areas and very neutral colouring.
