2LOVETONYCOHEN AT AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK

Tony Cohen is a self thought fashion designer from Amsterdam. After 8 years of designing experience in Italy, in 2005 he started his own brand TONYCOHEN. Over the years the label went from a small scale organization to an international success: Tony Cohen was the first independent Dutch designer to show his collections at New York Fashion Week and his designs are currently being sold worldwide.

On Sunday the 14th of July Tony Cohen presented the S/S 14 womenswear collections of his couture line “Atelier TonyCohen” and his diffusion line “2LOVETONYCOHEN”. Both collections in a neutral colour palette: predominantly black, dark petroleum, blue, cream, sand, ochre, brown, khaki and olive green. With a few splashes of colour: pastel green, yellow, orange and azure, and some details in electric blue, metallic pink, bronze, silver and gold.

Tony Cohen’s diffusion line “2LOVETONYCOHEN” was created in 2010 to offer affordable garments suitable for every situation, yet maintaining the same attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship. The S/S14 “2LOVETONYCOHEN” collection is aimed at versatile, confident women that want comfortable yet stunning clothes which can be dressed up and down.

Pencil and mini skirts, skinny trousers, leather jackets, jumpsuits, loose tunics, blazers, dresses, harem trousers and beaded shorts have a young and cheeky feel about them and present high end details: ruching, power shoulders, stand out zippers and tie closures. A dark barbed wire pattern on blue, orange or green background, as well as a colourful abstract impressionist print, keep the collection fresh and cool. Among the materials: leather, wool, denim, sequin, silk, leather, nets and lace.
