Today I'm back with the dressing room edition of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I found 15 tops under $30!
Nordstrom asked me to share my thoughts on the Anniversary sale (as if they had to ask! Shhh!!) and today will be Part 1 where I share some of the things I tried on in the store. I'm so glad I previewed the items on Thursday because I went back on Friday and the store was nuts! The Nordstrom salespeople are always the most helpful and professional, but they were even overwhelmed with the response on Friday and the dressing rooms were packed! I decided to come home and browse the rest of the sale online, so I'll show you my online picks for Part 2. There's a lot more available on the website than in the stores anyway and Nordstrom is my favorite store to shop online because navigating the site is so easy and the pictures are nice and large and clear. Don't you find it the best for online shopping? Not to mention Free shipping with any amount and free returns. You knew that, right?
I'm always most excited about the boots and booties, so let's start there!

I've been lusting after these boots for a long time, for the fit and quality and cool look, but definitely wanted to wait for them to go on sale since they're so expensive. I finally bit the bullet and got them in cognac, regular calf (but they also come in extended calf, which I recommend if your calves are larger because these regular ones fit mine just perfect with a jean tucked in, but not much roomier than that).
Next up are the gorgeous UGG boots that caught my eye.

They come in 4 colors, but the grey is what I chose. They fit like a dream, but do have that classic UGG shearling inside, so it's going to be too hot for a warmish day, but perfect for winter/cold days.

Loving the perforated wedge here. I tried it on and it didn't fit my foot very well, like the shoe wasn't fitting close enough to my foot if that makes sense.

I shopped everywhere looking for a two-toned watch before splurging on this one I've been wearing it since I got it. I waited until it went on sale and have watched it since and have only seen it go on sale one other time. It's still more than I've ever spent on a watch before, but I rationalized that I'll wear it forever. It's a classy watch I can pair with silver or gold and dress up or down. I haven't regretted this purchase.

SIZING: Come on inside the dressing room and let's see how these things look, fit and feel on a real (petite) person. For size reference, I'm athletic build, 5'0ish and about 105 pounds. I put the size I'm wearing in purple italics.
I pulled several tops and sweaters and tried them on and honestly, I liked almost every.one.of.them! There were a couple that didn't flatter me and I'll go ahead and show you those too in case that helps with your decision.

I bought this pair because I loved the wash and they aren't distressed at all. I still need to alter them though because they are too long on me.
The Vigoss jeans, which are already reasonably priced even without the sale are even better now at just $44.90. I have the Thompson distressed skinny and it's a winner. You may want to size down if you like a really fitted jean.

I tried on the size 25 and it fit comfortably, with a tiny bit of looseness just under the rear. The saleslady SWORE that I needed to size down because she said she was a denim expert and these jeans stretch out. So, I got the 24 and they are tight-fitting, but still fit and I'm hoping she's right that they stretch more to make the more comfy. Bottom line: size down one.

7 colors, As far as these types of tunics go, the Pleione one below is better quality, but the Lush one isn't bad and such a steal. Order a size down in the Pleione one.

I typically love the Hinge brand, and this top is really nice in person, but with my nursing chest, I felt like it accentuated the girls too much with the pleating at the chest. It also comes in a dark tan and black.

I adore this sweater! I actually have one similar that y'all are always asking about, but mine is old, so unfortunately, it's no longer available. This one is a great duplicate! It also comes in more colors and petite.
I finally found this sweater at my store! I'd actually buy XS if I was going to purchase this, the XSP was a little snug on the arms.
