Hi,

I bought a 2006 Honda Civic CTDI 2.2 four months ago. A couple of days ago I had the engine warning light flashing so I took it to my local reputed high street garage (I am sure everybody has heard about them) to get it diagnosed and got the report as a faulty oxygen sensor (code: P1384). When I contacted my local Honda showroom to buy the part, I was told that this model does not have an oxygen sensor and they suggested that I might have to replace the entire Diesel Particle Filter which would cost around £700. I sought further advice from a couple of reputed high street garages who very confidently said that this car does have an oxygen sensor, also known as lambda sensor and I just need to replace it which would cost me between £60 - £120.

Could you please advise on what I need to do. I am totally confused.

Thanks in advance.
