Rode this track for the first time a few days ago. It was also the home of a few AMA races over the weekend.
The oval part of the track is where NASCAR races so they use part of that track as well as the infield for a motorcycle road course. Interesting to say the least..
Learning a new track is always a challenge, but i had some friends with me so that helped me in the morning sessions. In the end it was a fun day. the CB as usual was great fun, but under powered against all the liter bikes that were out there, especially the s1000's as it was a track day co sponsored by BMW dealers in California.
That being said, for those on 180 hp bikes who don't know how to use all that power, it was fun to pass them on my 115hp honda :)
the track also had a 1/2 mile stretch, so it was my first time at a track with such a long straighaway. Got the CB up to about 135mph before the redline, it was a hoot.
