Medicare insurance coverage talk
Learn about new options for Medicare insurance coverage at the Rye Free Reading Room on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 10:30 a.m. The seminar, which will be presented by a representative of Medicare Health Center will address and clarify the Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage programs for new and current Medicare beneficiaries and provide a clear pathway for them to make informed decisions on their coverage choices.
The seminar is based on the work of George Fox, who wrote “Medicare Entitlements Exposed,” and is designed to help seniors better understand their options, including the new medical savings account programs.
The fact is that 98.8 percent of all people turning 65 make some sort of insurance coverage choice. Moreover, with more than 12 percent of the Medicare eligible population choosing to use Medicare Advantage plans each year, this newly created and expanding segment of the Medicare insurance industry is often misunderstood and inadequately explained to beneficiaries.
