ArtsFest in New Rochelle
ArtsFest returns on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day, reaching beyond New Rochelle’s borders this year to include venues in Pelham.
Among the weekend’s highlights will be an antique car show, a behind-the-scenes tour of world-renowned pop artist Charles Fazzino’s studio, free performances at the PAC House Theater, and a celebration of African dance and drums at Lincoln Park.
Organized by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, ArtsFest highlights the variety of arts and arts venues in New Rochelle, with art exhibits, programs and activities that give both visitors and residents alike a window into the city’s rich cultural and artistic diversity. Building on the success of previous Arts Fest festivals, the weekend-long celebration will include art installations in traditional spaces as well as downtown windows, tours of artist’s studios, live music, great food, exciting performances, eclectic shopping and a free Culture Trolley providing hop-on/hop-off transportation to the activities taking place in public and private cultural institutions throughout the city.
In addition there will be performances at spaces around the city. For a complete calendar of venues and events visit www.newrochellearts.org.
