Elaine Louise (Hixon) Knight, age 58, of Galena, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 in Branson, Missouri. She was born December 23, 1956 in Long Beach, California. Elaine was the daughter of Jerard E. and Alberta (Tipton) Hixon. She married Robert Knight on August 24, 1975. Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Elaine worked for the Kimberling City Dental Center for 31 years. She enjoyed exotic birds and being by the water and giraffes. Most of all, Elaine loved her family and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ron Hixon.
Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Bob Knight of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Cook and husband Shane of Lenexa, Kansas, and Sara Sutton and husband John of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; as well as a granddaughter, Magalena Cook of Lenexa, Kansas.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 24, 2015 at the chapel at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri, with R.C. Hopper officiating.
