How To Make Pizza Sauce | Homemade Recipes
Every delicious slice of pizza needs an authentic, lovingly prepared and mouth-watering pizza sauce. It’s not quite the foundation of the pizza—that role is reserved for the dough—but it’s more like the hardwood floors that help tie in the furniture (ingredients). Without sauce, your slice of pizza is dry and chewy…so it’s important to get down a recipe for pizza sauce that you love. In no time at all, you can have this homemade pizza sauce from Instructables user TreatFactory ready to go. Learning how to make pizza sauce, especially this one, is as easy as (pizza) pie.
Ingredients:
3 cups tomato paste
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 garlic cloves
2 tsp. caster sugar
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. Ooion powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 3/4 cup water
Directions:
Sauté the garlic cloves in olive oil in a large pan until there’s a slight aroma.
Throw in the tomato paste, sugar and the rest of the seasonings. Mix well.
Once the paste is homogenous, finish by adding the water and let it cool.
Your pizza sauce is now done. Use a spoon to scoop out the pizza sauce and then use the back side of it to smooth it out on your pizza dough.
Refrigerate any unused sauce for up to a week or freeze it for up to 3 months. Thaw and microwave frozen pizza sauce in increments of 30 seconds if you want to use it.
