Fourth of July is almost here and the country is getting ready! With fireworks being sold, and red, white and blue decorations being showcased, it’s hard to not be excited about Fourth of July! To help you plan your Fourth of July menu, we’ve put together a list of easy homemade desserts that will make your family spontaneously burst out singing the Star Spangled Banner at high volumes.

C’mon, what is more American than hand pies? I mean, aside from hot dogs, hamburgers, milkshakes, and Grease. These hand pies are the easiest recipe to make as all the ingredients are pre-made (think of this as a semi-homemade dessert recipe) and just need to be put together. And check out that star accent? Yeah, we thought it was adorable too.

2. Rice Krispy Balls

Sugar, sugar and more sugar are the best ingredients in dessert! And let’s just say, these rice krispy balls are packed with sugar (and no one is saying that’s a bad thing). The best dessert to make if you have kids or will be entertaining, these bite-sized goodies are guaranteed to run out in less than five minutes, so be sure to make 2 batches!

3. Panna Cotta and Raspberry Parfaits

This dessert is creamy, layered with red currant jelly, and makes a beautiful-looking Fourth of July dessert.

The perfect little treat to have in a bowl, these Oreos probably won’t solve world hunger, but they will taste delicious at your Fourth of July get-together.

Our favorite part about Fourth of July desserts are the vibrant red, white and blue hues! We love seeing traditional, plain desserts get made up and this is a makeover we will gladly endorse (because there are definitely some makeovers we just can’t support).
