Study the names of the 5 woodwind instruments and know the names in order of pitch. In addition remember and study: piccolo-hightest pitched woodwind instrument…flute-oldest member of the woodwind family….oboe-all instruments tune to the oboe in the orchestra….clarinet- widest range of any woodwind instrument…Bassoon-lowest pitched.
Remember also that although recorder and bagpipes are not orchestral woddwind instuments, they still count.
