The state capital of New South Wales, the city of Sydney in Australia was the site of the first British colony more than 225 years ago. Today it is a city that consistently ranks as one of the best around the world for quality of life.
There are many iconic landmarks and attractions here, and the CBD (Central Business District, the city centre) is always buzzing with activity and things to do.
Paris, France

The romantic city of Paris in France is rich in history and offers a lot of charm, splendour and wonderment. It is also one of Europe’s main financial powerhouses, and there is high demand for skilled workers here, especially English-speaking ones.
There is much to see and do here, and you’ll never be short of somewhere to go on a night out in such a cosmopolitan city as Paris!
New York, United States

America is often cited as being the land of opportunity, and one such place in the country is New York. Although the cost of living is high in this glitzy city, most people there will tell you that they have an awesome quality of life; and being the most populated city in the USA, you can be guaranteed of this!
There are plenty of opportunities to find well-paid jobs there, and is only 8 hours away by plane from Britain if you fancy popping back to the “old country” for a few days to spend time with friends and family.

Amsterdam is noted for its lush canals, clogs, windmills, historic architecture and nightlife.
Workers in the city don’t tend to work long hours unlike their British counterparts, but despite the lower working hours, employees are well paid for what they do. And out of all European languages, Dutch is probably the easiest to learn for English speakers (and is considered to be the closest language to English).

If you are looking for somewhere a bit off the beaten track, then you should consider Reykjavík in Iceland.
It is one of the world’s least-populated cities (only 119,000 people live here) but having said that it is still a vibrant and interesting city to live and work in. Plus it offers a very good quality of life!
Toronto, Canada

Toronto is Canada’s largest city, and offers loads to see and do. But Toronto isn’t just about tourism only. Nearly half of the population were born outside of Canada, so it offers quite a diverse mix of people, making it one of the most interesting cities in the world to live in.
Getting a job there won’t be a problem, because the city is an international centre for business and finance.
London, United Kingdom

London, unsurprisingly, is one of the most exciting cities to live in around the world! There is so much to see and do there, from sightseeing at the usual landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, to shopping and clubbing in the west end.
