The Plitvice Lakes National Park spans over 70,000 acres and contains dozens of lakes that are interconnected by waterfalls, streams and cascades. The water is such a stunning shade of blue and with numerous paths leading across the lakes you'll be able to see them from all sorts of angles.
If you ever want a change of scenery then you can always hop in the car and head south! The coast is roughly just under two hours away, with lovely cities such as Zadar just waiting to be explored. Head further south and you'll eventually reach Krka National Park and Split - there's plenty to see and do, so make the most of your time!
