We all need a little excitement every now and then – so it’s a good job I’ve found this fantastic city break to one of the UK’s most vibrant cities: Manchester!
Manchester City Break
I’ve put together this fantastic break using Trivago and Skyscanner. You’ll have direct flights from Dublin to Manchester, and once you land there are several transport links you can take which will get you to the centre of the city.
You’ll be staying at the classy 4* Townhouse Hotel Manchester. This hotel is in a grand old building in a fantastic location right in the heart of the city – everything will be close by! The interiors of the hotel are also incredibly chic and modern, and reviews praise the helpful and friendly staff.
In Manchester there’s so much to do that you’ll have trouble deciding what to put on your list. ;) There’s plenty of impressive buildings and monuments such as the Manchester Town Hall, the John Rylands Library and the Manchester Art Gallery. There’s also excellent shopping opportunities across the city – check out the Arndale Centre in the centre of town or similarly head to the Northern Quarter for some more quirky boutiques (vinyl lovers won’t be disappointed here either ;) ).
Manchester has no shortage of bars, either! The Northern Quarter is a personal favourite for the nightlife – check out Kosmonaut which has a fantastic laid-back atmosphere with industrial interiors, or the underground bar Hold Fast. Mojo also does some fantastic cocktails and good hearty grub to keep you going!
