Given that Macau is packed with casinos that can compete with any in Las Vegas, it can be hard to know which ones you should visit while you are there. These are some of the top casinos to be found on this island casino paradise.

Grand Lisboa

This is one of the most distinctive-looking casinos in Macau – with the complex being shaped like a lotus – and it is the place to go if you just want uninterrupted casino gaming. The Lisboa does not offer the other attractions provided by rival Macau casinos, but the poker room is the biggest and the best, featuring the most exciting high stakes tournaments, while the membership rewards program is also one of the finest on the island.

Venetian Macau

This is Macau’s largest casino complex, complete with replica Venetian architecture and canal for enjoying an evening gondola ride. Throw in frequent live concert performances by stars of the magnitude of Beyonce, the 1,800 seat Zaia theatre and a golf course, and you can see that the actual slot machines and table games in the casino are only the beginning of the delights on offer here.

Sands Macau

Like the Venetian this is based on a Las Vegas casino, and again like the Venetian, it easily matches its American cousin. It was launched ten years ago and is relatively basic in terms of design – basically a single huge room with every possible casino game you could ever want unless you prefer to access them on your mobile at Gaming Club. This means that, like the Lisboa, it is for those who are serious about packing as much gambling into their time in Macau as possible.

Galaxy Rio Macau

This casino may be a little less sprinkled with stardust than some of the others, but it definitely offers the earthiest casino experience you can get in Macau. It is a favorite of many of those living there, as there are lower stakes games, while the night club is a lively (rather too lively for some tastes) place, all of which definitely makes it one to pick if you want something a bit more authentic and less touristy.
