Global hair icon David Beckham has been voted as the best celebrity male hairstyle for 2014 for his super-slick, short back and sides in a poll by Fudge Professional, the official hair partners to London Collections: Men.

Also on the list was Benedict Cumberbatch, who has enjoyed an exciting 12 months after getting engaged, announcing his impending Cumber-baby and scooping second place in the best celebrity hair list.

Everyone’s favourite ginger, Prince Harry, came third – unlike big brother William, who in fact made the top ten list for the worst hair in Britain.

William didn’t top the worst hair list. That position was secured by London Mayor Boris Johnson, who was voted as the worst of the worst for his blonde mop top.

Harry Styles’ new longer look seems to have divided the nation, as he earned a spot on both the best and worst lists in fifth and second place respectively.

Other unfortunate celebs that entered the top 10 list include wild-haired lothario Russell Brand, ginger crooner Ed Sheeran and music mogul Simon Cowell whose flat topped crop secured him eighth place in Fudge’s poll.

Fudge Professional will be reprising their role as the Official Hair Partner at London Collections: Men AW15 for the fifth consecutive season this weekend.

John Vial, Fudge creative director commented: “It’s great to see some new names on the list for 2014 – there are some great trend setters coming through, particularly in the music world. It’s going to be difficult for anyone to knock David Beckham off the top spot for 2015 but perhaps one of his sons might do just that. The Beckham boys all have their own individual style which really works for them … they could rival their Dad one day!”
