London’s very own songwriter / rapper Poni, has released a colourful new video for her single ‘Memories’.Marsha Bryant, professionally known as ‘Poni’, is an outgoing good-humoured artist who is enthusiastic with a real passion and love for music. Poni has worked with some of Hip-Hop’s finest, having recorded four Songs in Detroit, USA, produced by Denaun Porter and Kon Artis of D12 (Eminem & 50Cent producer). She has also had the pleasure of working with the likes of Darius Harrison ‘Deezle’, who has also produced for Lil Wayne (including ‘Lollipop’ and ‘Mrs Officer’), E Bass, Kookie from Norway, UK’s Taz (who produced for Dizzee Rascal) plus many more. Her major collaborations include a song called “Easy Money” with Lil Wayne released on his Public Enemy mixtape, Chopper (from P.Diddys ‘Making the Band’), 4ize and Kanye West & Kylie Minogue Producer Tommy D on BBC 3 TV show called ‘Singing With The Enemy’.
Her style of music is catchy and tantalising; she poses a creative difference in the world of Hip Hop/Pop Music with her British accent, slamming US style beats and musical style that blurs the lines of RnB & Reggae flavour. Her songs are filled with creative innovative concepts which are distinctive, thought provoking & also exciting, she set to be launched internationally.
Poni is now a solo artist and CEO of a music entertainment business called Desire Sounds Ltd. Her latest videos have been gathering pace internationally on cable networks in the UK, USA and Europe and she has been doing Radio tours and Shows, appearing on BBC London Radio Station & BBC Radio One with one of the UK’s most profound international Hip-Hop DJ’s, DJ Tim Westwood.
Poni has had the pleasure of performing phenomenal sets at events including the Mayor of London’s ‘Rise Festival’ other performance’s were by Common and The Wailers. Poni has performed as a support act for Dru Hill, ATL, Mos Def ‘Rock Da Bells’ Tour, and many more. In the USA she has performed at ‘Live’ venue, Staten Island, St Vincent’s Hospital, New York, NY with Opera Singer Martina Bruno & New York University plus many more..
Poni has also been featured on Channel 4 (UK National TV) Music Series called ‘Musicool’ (Part 1 & 2) where she worked with some of entertainments finest including Michael Jackson, Britney Spears & Prince Choreographer Sean Cheeseman. Poni is also an actress and won a Clive Dailey ‘Best Actor 2008’ Award.
