Burn your umbrellas and throw away those wellington boots. The Isle of Wight Festival has been forecast as having a weekend of sun, sun, sun!

In recent years the festival has been damned with torrential rain and led to flooded camp sites, leaving saddened campers to sleep in their cars, or even return home early. But none of that nonsense should occur this year with temperatures set to peak at around 23 Celsius, though some of the more pessimistic weather reports do say there are slight chances of light showers on Sunday.

The festival starts this Friday June 13th and runs until Sunday 15th. The headliners are Biffy Clyro sharing the top billing with Calvin Harris, Red Hot Chilli Peppers (who hopefully wont be performing in just their socks at their age) and the return of Kings Of Leon to the island. Other acts on the bill are Suede, Travis, The 1975, The Polyphonic Spree and The Horrors (who are playing inside the Big Top so they don’t melt into little goth puddles).

Tickets are sold out, but for those lucky enough to be going, remember to bring the sun block and always take a load of toilet paper and wet wipes.

Here is a classic Isle of Wight Festival performance from Biffy Clyro:
