Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has spoken to ARN’s Virgin Radio about the UAE’s humanitarian support for countries in need.

Her Royal Highness says Dubai was asked by the United Nations to move a shipment from the World Food Programme to hurricane-hit Haiti, because of the emirate’s excellent response time.

HRH Princess Haya adds that HH Sheikh Mohammed created the Humanitarian City for NGOs and UN agencies stationed in Dubai.

Warehouses in Dubai have now made it possible for most humanitarian agencies to stock aid materials that need to be sent around the world.

HRH also shares how residents can offer aid.
