Two-thousand new hotel rooms will open in the capital this year, according to the Abu Dhabi Hotel Market Summary report by JLL.
Around 200 rooms have opened in the second quarter with the soft opening of the Four Seasons on Al Maryah Island in May.
Additional 2,200 will be added by the end of 2016, bringing the total to 2,400.
New hotel openings this year include Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Residences Emirates Pearl, Gloria Downtown Hotel and Bab Al Qasr.
