HUNDREDS OF THE NORTH’S MOST HIGHLY REGARDED DESIGNERS, ARCHITECTS AND RETAILERS ARE PREPARING FOR ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS EVENTS IN THE DESIGN CALENDAR, THE ANNUAL NORTHERN DESIGN AWARDS, WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE IN LEEDS ON FRIDAY 11TH NOVEMBER.

The organisers of the Northern Design Awards famously host the glittering ceremony at a different venue every year – from Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel to the Chester Grosvenor to Buxton’s stunning Devonshire Dome. This year they’ve chosen the Royal Armories and New Dock Hall in Leeds. This imposing building on the banks of the River Aire is in a prime location in the heart of West Yorkshire.

Shelley Bond said: “We’re very proud of our newest venue and equally proud of the calibre of entries the Northern Design Awards attract every year. We’re also delighted to work with such a strong judging panel. At last year’s awards we celebrated record attendance figures, showing the growth of the awards themselves, as well as marking an exciting period for northern property developers.”

This year’s judging panel features Linda Barker, Wayne Hemingway, Nick Munro, Jan Constantine, HRH Princess Katarina and internationally renowned designer, George Bond, plus the influential Alison Vance and Noel Farrer.

Shelley Bond commented: “These awards have helped to springboard a host of northern businesses to even greater levels of success and we’re excited to have the opportunity to showcase the cream of the northern design scene again this year. We look forward to sharing more details of our awards show format over the coming months and to welcoming design lovers to another fantastic event in November!”
