Role: Thai Linguist/Translator
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 4+ Months
Job Description:
Client is looking for a linguist to translation of its website.
Consultant will work together with Asian language specialists on-site in Mountain View.
The team works to provide a high-quality site for our Thai audience. The ideal candidate has English to Thai translation experience (preferably within software localization), is a native Thai speaker and has a passion for language. You will be translating the site and conduct review work as well as contribute to terminology and style discussions, bug fixing and other localization related work.
Required Experience/Skills:
• Native level fluency in Thai
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a translator, preferably in software localization.
• Good understanding of localization and linguistic issues.
• Experience using CAT tools, especially Idiom WorldServer and Trados.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
B.A. in Translation, Linguistics, or similar.
Self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
