I was thrilled to have been invited to the #TrendPop event at the Potomac Mills mall last weekend. With my busy days as a work at home mom, I could always use an excuse to go out shopping especially that the weather outside has been so much more inviting!

The first-ever #TrendPop event was held last April 25th at the Potomac Mills children’s play area. It was a fun event attended by fellow moms, dads, kids and members of the press. The place was transformed into a “#TrendPop” Lounge complete with colored fresh poppies, white couches, and bright bean bag chairs that screamed, “Welcome, Spring!”

Hosted by Kelly Collis, a.k.a. CityShopGirl as well as radio personality on 94.7 Fresh FM (shown here wearing her own “Potomac Mills” fashion find: a lovely Shoshanna dress from Neiman Marcus Last Call paired with neon orange pumps), the event also highlighted fashion trends for Moms and kids  with “Pops” of color. Local models each displayed the latest and the greatest in Spring apparel and accessories offered by many different stores found inside Potomac Mills.

The children and their parents who attended the event also enjoyed playing and hanging out in the Virginia-themed play area and were treated to colorful and yummy snacks including Cake POPS, LolliPOPS, SodaPOP and more- all free of charge! There were “selfie” and activity stations and face painting for the kiddos too .. and the kids were also  given a complimentary spring pail to collect treasures from participating retailers.

I was really happy to attend this event as I also ran into some of my fellow Northern Virginia bloggers, Sarah from Capitally Frugal, Laura from Beltway Bargain Mom and Melissa Ann (representing RHNOVA). It was great seeing them at this event and of course, we had to have a group photo!

So if you haven’t been to the Potomac Mills yet, or haven’t been there in a while, you’ll love what they have to offer!  I honestly enjoy shopping at this mall and could stay there for hours if I’m not pressed for time (lol). With more than 220 stores including Bloomingdale’s – The Outlet Store, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Nordstrom Rack, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, True Religion Outlet, Michael Kors Outlet, Talbots Outlet, Tommy Bahama Outlet, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, J.Crew | Crewcuts and Ann Taylor Factory Store, Potomac Mills is Washington, DC area’s largest outlet mall.  In addition, the center boasts over 25 eateries and the AMC Potomac Mills 18 Theatres with IMAX. Potomac Mills also boasts a delicious trio of dining experiences: The Cheesecake Factory and first-in-market locations from Bahama Breeze and Bobby’s Burger Palace.  And when it comes to bargain shopping, Potomac Mills has it all! Every time I come to this mall and have a set budget for my shopping trip, I never go home disappointed. The last time I was here, I bought a complete outfit – a stylish top, a cute pair of pants and coordinating accessories – all for under $150!

Also, within the past year, Potomac Mills has added more hot fashion brands: Kate Spade New York Outlet, EXPRESS Factory Outlet, Charlotte Russe, A|X Armani Exchange, Steve Madden and a first-in-state location for The Limited Outlet – all of which are my favorite stores to shop for myself and for my whole family! If you are going to be shopping here soon, also remember to stop by their customer service desk and ask for a booklet of coupons to save even more at your favorite stores within Potomac Mills!

Potomac Mills is conveniently located immediately off of I-95 in Woodbridge, VA and is just 30 miles from Washington, D.C.  Regular hours are 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday.  For more information, visit www.potomacmills.com.
