Open Coil/Bonnel Sprung Unit
Open coil sprung mattresses are the traditional type of mattresses which is usually cheaper than the pocket sprung mattress. This is because they fewer springs usually around 500 for a double compared to a 1,000 pocket sprung single mattress.
These springs are also not independently working since they are all linked together and not separated by a pocket sleeve like the pocket sprung design.
