Memory Foam?
Memory Foam was initially designed by NASA to be used in space programmes. Eventually the material was then released to the public and now used in the manufacturing of top quality beds because the material "memorises" and moulds itself to the contours of your body. This "reaction" takes place because the foam responds and moulds to heat. Majority of the time Memory Foam is used on-top of a sprung mattress but they are also premium mattresses that are 100% memory foam or a combination of memory/reflex foam.
This image represents what's inside a typical 100% foam mattress by Deluxe Beds. This Presidential Mattress has only 2 main inner materials and have been sourced from only the best foam manufacturers in the UK.

Latex?
Latex is also a material used in the higher priced bracket mattress ranges and does the same job as Memory Foam but instead of reacting to heat it reacts to pressure. This gives a constant stream of comfort regardless of heat.
