The Herb Chambers Companies at the 2017 New England Auto Show
The largest Auto Show in New England was held this month at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport District. The New England Auto Show is the premier showcase of the newest model year imported and domestic vehicles. Representatives from the factories and advisors from the dealerships were on hand to answer questions. If you weren’t able to attend, we didn’t want you to miss out! So here is our recap of the 2017 New England Auto Show.
We had the opportunity to attend and showcase some of our vehicles. Brought from our dealerships in Wayland, we had Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and Maserati. We had a Maserati Levante SUV, a Lamborghini Huracán Spyder, which can zip from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and tops out at 201 mph! A Bentley Bentayga (the world’s fastest & most luxurious SUV), which features more than 10 Driver Assistance systems, Head-up display, where important information is projected onto the windscreen so the driver can keep eyes on the road and Night Vision! Night Vision can recognize animals and people, however dark it is outside.
We also had a Rolls-Royce Dawn, a Maserati Ghibli and a Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge. The Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge is the ultimate fastback coupé. The wheels are 3D forged and the aircraft-grade aluminum structure is secured using aerospace-strength titanium, making the wheels both incredibly strong and lightweight. The spokes are painted jet black. To make the rims, they lay 22 layers of carbon fiber cloth in three directions, and then fold the material back on itself to provide 44 layers of strength!
We also had the honor of showcasing the North American debut of the Bentley W12 S Flying Spur. The Bentley Flying Spur W12 S is the first four-door Bentley to achieve a top speed in excess of 200 mph and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds! The infotainment system can be used from any seat, with those in the back enjoying the use of a specially-designed wireless touchscreen remote, enabling them to control music, telephone, air conditioning and other functions essential to passenger comfort.
Also showcased at the Auto Show was the 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition. It may be the closest you’ll ever get to sitting in the cockpit of a Starfighter. Nissan took iconic design elements of the Star Wars universe and applied them to the interior and exterior. Nissan is only releasing 5,000 of these, and unlike the Death Star, when these are gone, we won’t be building them again. Visit Herb Chambers Nissan of Westborough for more information.
Another highlight of the show, was the 2017 Hyundai Genesis G90. It earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick Award. The 2017 Hyundai Genesis G90 has double layered soundproof glass on all doors blocks outside noise and vibration. The soundproof glass will come in handy because the Hyundai Genesis G90 has 17 high-performance speakers delivering 3-dimensional dynamic audio!
Also in attendance was a mobility vehicle from our MV-1 of Massachusetts dealership.
