Have you herd? CowParade New England 2023 is here, and we are over the moon with excitement! The Jimmy Fund is celebrating 75 years of advancements, and what better way to celebrate than with a CowParade?
CowParade is a renowned public art event that involves the display of life-size cow sculptures that are creatively painted and transformed into unique art pieces. The event brings together artists from a specific region or city to showcase their talent and contribute to a vibrant art exhibition. These artistic cow sculptures are typically displayed in prominent locations throughout the area, attracting the attention of locals and visitors alike. CowParade aims to bring art to the public, spark creativity, and often serves as a fundraising initiative for charitable causes or organizations. CowParade events have been staged in over 80 cities worldwide since 1999, including Chicago, New York City, Paris, Milan, Rio and for the second time, Boston!
This year The Herb Chambers Companies is the proud presenting sponsor of CowParade New England, which showcases 75 cows designed by artists from all around the New England area. These cows have been dispersed throughout Boston, and the surrounding towns, and are on display from June 24th through Labor Day weekend. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s efforts to fight cancer.
The Herb Chambers Companies has worked with the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Foundation in several notable ways for the past eight years. In addition to this year’s cow parade, one of our favorite fundraisers has always been the Boston Marathon finish line celebrations held at Abe & Louie's and Atlantic Fish on Boylston Street. The last event boasted an impressive attendance of approximately 750 individuals, each paying a $100 admission fee, with all monies being dedicated to the Jimmy Fund. The Herb Chambers Companies also enjoyed joining the Jimmy Fund team as the presenting sponsor of UnMask Cancer from 2015 to 2019, which helped raise nearly $1.14 million in its seven-year history.
We hope that you enjoy the artistry at its finest this summer. Join our herd in a photo scavenger hunt and share the memories. We’d love to see your selfie with one of our 12 cows:
