NICK Price was finally honoured in his native country for being the international golf ambassador hours after he was named captain of the International team for the President Cups next year.The greatest golfer to emerge out of this country was honoured at the inaugural Zimbabwe Golf Association awards at Chapman yesterday.
Price, Tony Jonhstone and Brendon de Jonge were honoured for the work they have done towards golf development through their achievements in the international scene.
The Herald was also honoured as the best publication covering golf on the local scene, thanks to its intense overage that also includes Henry Manzungu’s authoritative weekly column. Scott Vincent was named Amateur Golfer of the Year while Yolanda Mubaiwa won the female Amateur Golfer of the Year.
Ryan Cairns won the male Professional Golfer of the Year award.
