A tradition that dates back hundreds of years is to take place at The Godolphin Estate at Godolphin Cross this week.
The Reeve Ceremony has been practiced at Godolphin for hundreds of years during the Christian Festival of Candlemas, which commemorates the purification of Mary after giving birth to her son Jesus.
Visitors can experience a fun, quirky piece of Cornish history and discover how the Godolphin family nearly lost everything in a snail race.
Entry to the event on Sunday from 8am to 9am is free, but normal venue admission applies. The meeting place is outside the house under the colonnades. Call 01736 763194 for more information.
