The Role

Acceleration Partners has traditionally received over 90% of its new business from referrals from existing customers and partners by doing great work and engaging key influencers through our reputation as a high quality, premium partner. In order to continue or growth trajectory, we now building out a demand marketing organization that will be greatly increasingly the number of leads coming into the company. Additionally, we are expanding our services offering, necessitating additional sales resources and tactics. As we anticipate the next stage of growth, we are looking for a dynamic Sales Associate to screen, nurture, and help close the growing number of potential clients to deliver further scale.

We are looking for a rising rock star to support multiple facets of the Company’s critical sales function. The core of the role is taking leads at certain value levels, qualifying them based on our internal criteria, and pushing them through the sales funnel to either close or to the point that senior management can come in and close. As our company does a lot of things like a consulting firm vs. a marketing agency (one of our major differentiators), the sales process will be highly consultative and require a strong understanding of the pain points of ecommerce companies. The Sales Associate will also be responsible for Salesforce.com data, sales pipeline reporting, and targeted outbound sales projects revolving around specific prospects or events. Simply put, we need you to help continue this as we grow!

The Sales Associate is a remote position (we all work remotely as we’ll pick talent over proximity any day!) with in-person team days in Needham, MA approximately once per week, when possible. The ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Boston area. Some travel is required, with San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and London being the most common destinations. Attendance at high value conferences with a concentration of prospects (e.g. Shop.org, Internet Retailer, eTail, etc.) is expected. The Sales Associate will report to the General Manager, but will work closely with the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifying inbound leads and nurturing qualified through the sales process.

Inputting and managing sales data in Salesforce.com.

Maintaining sales pipeline reporting.

Developing and maintaining sales target lists.

Executing specific outbound sales campaigns, generally targeting large or otherwise non-responsive prospects.

Setting meetings with prospects at conferences.

Acquisition of new prospects at conferences through working the booth and the floor.

Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of Acceleration Partners’ services, clients, and ecosystem and overall marketplace.

Qualifications

Professional and polished sales rock star with 2-4 years of experience selling professional / marketing services or marketing technology.

Has a baseline understanding of digital marketing.

Demonstrated achievement in prior roles.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Capable of working with a remote workforce in a collaborative manner.
