Mandarin teacher Sheng-Chu Lu will be presenting at the Massachusetts Foreign Language Association (MaFLA) Annual Conference in Sturbridge, MA on Oct 30, 2015. The title of her presentation is "Engaging Activities to Increase Student Interest in Chinese Language and Culture."
MaFLA was founded in 1967 and has become one of the biggest conferences for foreign language teaching in Massachusetts. The MaFLA Fall Conference attracts over 900 foreign language teachers and it offers a range of workshops and sessions about foreign language teaching pedagogy.
Lu was also elected president of the New England Chinese Teacher Association (NECTA). NECTA is a non-profit organization providing professional workshops to Chinese language teachers.
