1. She is 23 Years old
Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley was born April 10, 1992, in Westminster, London, to mom Louise Fawkner-Corbett and dad Chris Ridley, a photographer. The youngest of five children, she still lives in London with her family and her dog Muffin. One of her sisters is a model with a top agency, and another is an aspiring musician.
2. She was relatively unknown before ‘Star Wars’
Ridley’s IMDB credits only date back to 2013. She had a small role in “Mr Selfridge” in 2014 and was in the film “Scrawl” the following year. Ridley was cast as Rey back in April 2014. Here she is with fellow newcomer and co-star John Boyega, who also steals the show in “The Force Awakens.”
3. She’s Got a Great Voice
According to co-stars John Boyega and Oscar Isaac, Ridley sang the entire time the cast was on set. Fans got a taste two weeks ago when the 23-year-old posted a sweet duet with Isaac.
4. Gym Rat
Ridley is not afraid to show off her hard work at the gym. On Instagram, she posted a montage video of her at the gym working abs, shoulders and her core.
5. Daisy will be a busy actress in the coming years
Daisy has signed off to star in Episode VIII, which begins filming January 2016, and Episode IX, but she’s got some films in the pipeline. In the fantasy film Scrawl, she plays Hannah, a mysterious girl who intermingles with a group of comic book lovers. In 2016, she’ll lend her voice to a
dubbed release of 1991’s Only Yesterday.
