My books arrived in a brand-new decorated box! I received 2 paperbacks this month.

Along with a new shipping box design, it looks like the product info card has been replaced by a bookmark, which is fine with me since I’m always searching for bookmarks.

Home Again by Kristen Hannah (
$15
$9.75) was originally published in 1996 but has a new look. I read this author’s The Nightingale last summer and it was magnificent so I am looking forward to reading one of her earlier offerings.

Madelaine Hillyard is a world-famous heart surgeon at the top of her game. Her personal life is far less successful. A loving but overworked single mom, she is constantly at odds with her teenage daughter. At sixteen, Lina is confused, angry, and fast becoming a stranger to her mother—a rebel desperate to find the father who walked away before she was born. Complicating matters for Madelaine are the vastly different DeMarco brothers: While priest Francis DeMarco is always ready to lend a helping hand, his brother, Angel, long ago took on the role of bad boy. Years earlier Angel abandoned Madelaine—and fatherhood—to go in search of fame and fortune. His departure left Madelaine devastated, but now he reappears and seeks help from the very people he betrayed—as a patient in dire need. With Home Again,New York Times bestselling author Kristin Hannah has written a moving, powerful novel about the fragile threads that bind together our lives and the astonishing possibility of second chances.

Letting Go by Molly McAdams (
$14.99
$10.58) is Book 1 in the Thatch series. I’ve never read anything by this author and look forward to checking out this story of love and loss. This is categorized as a “new adult” novel featuring main characters who are somewhere between the ages of 18-30 years old.

The New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author returns with a sizzling novel of love, loss, guilt, and forgiveness.

Grey and Ben fell in love at thirteen and believed they’d be together forever. But three days before their wedding, the twenty-year-old groom-to-be suddenly died from an unknown heart condition, destroying his would-be-bride’s world. If it hadn’t been for their best friend, Jagger, Grey never would have made it through those last two years to graduation. He’s the only one who understands her pain, the only one who knows what it’s like to force yourself to keep moving when your dreams are shattered. Jagger swears he’ll always be there for her, but no one has ever been able to hold on to him. He’s not the kind of guy to settle down.

It’s true that no one has ever been able to keep Jagger—because he’s only ever belonged to Grey. While everyone else worries over Grey’s fragility, he’s the only one who sees her strength. Yet as much as he wants Grey, he knows her heart will always be with Ben. Still they can’t deny the heat that is growing between them—a passion that soon becomes too hot to handle. But admitting their feelings for each other means they’ve got to face the past. Is being together what Ben would have wanted . . . or a betrayal of his memory that will eventually destroy them both?

Although I prefer historical romance novels, I’m really looking forward to checking out these books, especially the one from Kristen Hannah! This month’s selections totaled $20.33, which is more than the price of the subscription plus shipping!
