FaithBox is a Christian company that seeks to help strengthen your faith in God with their devotional and bring joy with their great products from companies that do good.    With the purchase of each box they provide 3 meals for hungry children through a partnership with Rice Bowls.  In 2015 they were able to provide over 100k meals for hungry children.  Plus, you get a box full of cool stuff in the process.

Feeding hungry children should transcend all political and religious ideologies.    I don’t care who you are, feeding hungry babies is a good idea.

You can subscribe to Faith Box with a month to month plan, a 3 month plan or a one year plan.  With the month to month plan you pay $20 plus $5 shipping each month.  The 3 month plan reduces the price per box to $19 plus $5 shipping when you pay for 3 months ahead of time.  For the best price per box you can pay for one year at a time and get each box for the price of $17 per box plus $5 shipping.

The Impact Guide in each box will give you a detailed description of each product in the box and tell you a little about how the companies that make each one are striving to impact the world for good.

The Impact Guide really goes into detail with a glossy picture for each product, a description of the product and the company that makes it, and a verse that corresponds to the products.

This is their monthly devotional book, Everyday Faith, that was in the box.  They are now offering a monthly subscription called Every Day Faith for just their devotionals.   If you pay month to month you can get the book for $8 a month, shipping included.  If you prepay for the year the price drops to $6 a month, shipping included.  They also provide meals to 3 children for each of these purchased.

Each day is numbered 1-30, but not dated so you can start whenever you want.  Most days begin with a verse from the Bible, a couple of sentences elaborating on the verse and encouraging you in the faith, and then end with a challenge to bring the verse to reality in your life (plus space to write down your own thoughts).  Other days just have challenges for you, like “Day 6” above.

This most excellent leather bracelet from Haiti Made – Circle of Trade was in the box.  The bracelets retail for $7.00 apiece.  “The Skinny bracelet is a  one-size fits all bracelet featuring a single ball fastener that can be moved to accommodate different wrist sizes.”  I adjusted the fastener and it fit perfectly.  Love it!

Here is a little information about Haiti Made’s impact from their website.  “Haiti Made was initially born out of the basic need to create jobs for young adults transitioning out of long-term orphan care from the Hands and Feet Project in Haiti. We soon realized the need to expand this vision and began to employ other Haitians in the community such as unemployed mothers and artisans, so that a significant difference could be made toward orphan prevention and the economic recovery of the nation. Charity has its place and purpose, but we have found that when buying great products made by the people of Haiti, we enter into a meaningful exchange with them that brings lasting respect, hope and dignity.  That is what Haiti Made is all about.   Haiti is a country that has been defined by extreme poverty, joblessness and entitlement.  It is our mission to unite around quality products, economic sustainability, & dignified jobs to fight against Haiti’s orphan and child slavery crisis.”

I love it!!  And, they have some other awesome looking products, leather wallets, key chains, denim bags, all kinds of cool stuff.

Just for Faithbox the bracelet is also stamped with the hashtag #unashamed.  Check-it out.

This black carabiner emblazoned with the Faithbox name was in the box.  I needed a new one of these for my keys.  They suggest that you can use it on your water bottle or your bag.

This multi use cloth from Morning Culture was in the box.   When I first pulled it out of the box I thought it was a prayer shawl or maybe a scarf.  I still might wear it for a scarf, but there are some similar items on the Morning Culture site (retailing for $29) that are towels.  They don’t make it entirely clear what you should use it for, but I think that is the idea.  You choose.  A practical light weight towel that dries quickly, a easy to pack or stow away throw, a beach cover up, whatever you want it to be it can be.

The impact guide tells us, “Morning Culture Co., designers pull inspiration from classic, cultural products and add a modern flair.  Their products are made by artisans around the world using traditional methods to create modern designs.  Morning Culture Co. believes that the source, and the people behind their products should be celebrated, not hidden and they educate and employ artisans around the world through fair and direct trade partnerships.”

These pomegranate and maqui berry drink mix packets from Everly were in the box.  They are sugar free and all natural and surprisingly good.  They give a portion of their proceeds to Cola Life who uses the funds to provide packets of rehydration mixes (Oral Re-hydration Salts) to mothers in rural Zambia.  The moms use them to treat their babies when they are sick with waterborne diseases and save their lives.  You can find a pack of 36 for $19.99 on Amazon, we got a pack of 6 in the box.

Faithbox is meant not necessarily for people of faith, but for people who need to increase their faith in God and in their fellow man.  Subscribing to the box is really just the beginning to the changes. Plus, the products in this month’s box were just awesome.  Save $5 on your first box with coupon code SAVENOW.
