Nvey Eco is a brand that comes to us from Australia. They have been around since 2005  so to me, they are pioneers in green beauty, specifically the founder of the brand- Rohan Widdison!  You can learn more about Rohan by going here. I love that Rohan was ahead of the green beauty curve thanks to his holistic loving mother. Back in 2005, green and non toxic beauty was not as well known as it is now, at least not in the USA. Why does it seem that other countries have known about toxins/synthetics longer than we have?

“At NVEY ECO, we believe that if you are going to create an organic makeup product, it’s not just about the certification – it’s all about the colour range and textures that inspire you every day. NVEY ECO’s naturally caring formulas deliver endless possibilities, and our luxurious textures are gentle and calming on your skin.”

We need more cosmetics companies with this attitude! I was fortunate to try a few products from this brand so take a look and let me know what you think!

Let’s start with the Creme Deluxe Flawless Foundation! I’m always on the lookout for a good foundation. I think its the number one most important product in creating a natural looking face. We want to smooth imperfections, hide under eye circles, yet still maintain a look that doesn’t scream, “I HAVE MAKE UP ON MY FACE!” and we want it without harmful toxins. That’s a tall order.

This one from Nvey Eco is super soft and bendable. The color is pretty light but you can add a thicker application if you want to.  It contains “Vitamins A, C and E along with jojoba oil to impart a healthy glow and protect against free-radical damage.”  This foundation contains certified organic ingredients.

Here’s a full ingredient list:

Ricinus Communis (Organic Castor) Seed Oil*, Carthamus Tinctorius (Organic Safflower) Seed Oil*, Cera Alba (Organic Beeswax)*, Cetyl Alchohol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Organic Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Copernicia Cerifera (Organic Carnauba) Wax*, Glyceryl Stearate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Benzyl Alcohol (and) Salicylic Acid (and) Sorbic Acid, Glycerin. May Contain +/-: CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 77019 (Mica).

The Eye Shadow – I tried 171, a plummy shimmer- also contains jojoba oil, chamomile and vitamins C and E. The eyeshadow didnt irritate my eyes and lasted for several hours without a retouch. If I want to be fancy, I use a little eyeshadow  brush to apply but most of the time I just use my index finger and dab it on!

Here are the ingredients:

Corn starch modified [Zea Mays], CI 77019 [Mica], caprylic capric triglyceride [Coconut Oil], magnesium stearate, zinc oxide, tocopheryl acetate [Vitamin E Acetate], ascorbyl palmitate [Vitamin C], simmondsia chinensis [Jojoba] oil, anthemis nobilis [Chamomile] extract, daucus carota [Carrot Oil], palm kernel glycerides [Palm Kernel Oil], stearic acid [Palm Derived]. May Contain: [+/-] CI77007, CI 77163, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77891.

Last but not least is my new favorite gloss, Hydrating Lip Lustre in the shade of Ruby. This color is darker than my standard pink but I like that! The pigment is rich, the color long lasting. Ruby is a medium, rose-pink.

Nvey Eco describes their lip lustre as: “Nourishing, lustrous, and rich lip lacquer enhanced by organic elements to create smooth and subtle lips. The luxurious colour glides on leaving a refreshing feel, and is enhanced by the organic beeswax providing the skin with energy, protection and harmony.”

Will you try this brand? I can’t wait to try more from them!
