Mike Sonko is probably one of the most evolved politicians in Kenya’s history.
He has metamorphosed like a butterfly does, literally. From punching walls to saving innocents from losing their houses through illegal demolitions. We compiled some of the Senator’s highlights in his political career.
1.Calling the president to prevent demolitions
Bulldozers at a site in South B had already demolished a few structures under construction and were preparing to move in to occupied houses when Senator Mike Sonko called the president and pleaded for his intervention.

2.Sonko wears unfinished jeans
Mike Sonko gave the Kenyan members of Parliament a good laugh by showing up in funky ripped-off jeans to an official meeting. 
From the waist up, Sonko looked well official even with the tie well fastened but even the president was left in stitches after seeing Sonko’s bottom outfit. The president, vice president and other government officials could not conceal their laughter after seeing Sonko’s fashion sense. 3.Sonko-Shebesh fight at club
This is the latest Mike Sonko highlight. Last weekend, he and Nairobi Women Rep Rachael Shebesh got in a gun fight at a nightclub in Nairobi. Sonko claimed the argument was about a Range Rover worth Ksh.8.5 million that he had bought Shebesh but was not fully paid for. Shebesh on the other hand claimed that Sonko was trailing him. Tension was high, leading to Shebesh’s bodyguards firing twice in the air.
4.Sonko-Shebesh love drama
Photos of the two law makers in a romantic situation went viral all over the internet, even though Sonko claimed they were photo-shopped. 5.Sonko’s hairstyle
Sonko’s hairdo, or is it hairdon’t, usually shows his sentiments to current affairs of the time. 6.Mike Sonko punching walls
Sonko led his supporters in a demo that entailed the him lying prostrate on the streets, punching gates with his bare hands and jumping over them all in attempt to make a point over alleged demolition of kiosks. Here is a clip of the event: Mike Sonko punching a wall and lying on the ground
7.Sonko calling Caroline Mutoko “Malaya” on air
In an explosive and bitter interview, Mike Sonko called Caroline Mutoko a malaya (prostitute) on radio. It all started when Mutoko asked the senator what he will do when he can nolonger give people money.
Worked up by the array of questions that the radio presenter threw at him,Sonko resulted to insults:
“I think you are either under the influence of something or working for someone,You are manner-less you also smoke cigarettes all the time!”
Sonko also accused her and her Co-host Chipukeezy of inappropriateness when it came to his daughter Saumu (Chipukeezy allegedly inboxes Saumu on Facebook), to which Carol responded that they would apologize for.
Sonko then hurled more insults directed to the presenter:
“You how many people f**k you?” Adding, “Wewe kwenda! Wewe mjinga kumbaff!I am going to deal with you and Chipukeezy. I will deal with you personally!Wewe nyege zako na sigara zako peleka carnivore!!”

Among the many great deeds that the senator has done is adopting baby Osinya after he lost his mother during a terrorist attack at the Coast, surviving a bullet to the head and a surgery.
9.Sonko’s bikini telephone

10.Posting his salary on facebook
Sonko posted his March payslip on his Facebook account. The payslip showed that the Senator earned a net salary sh532,705.
Mr Sonko claims his earnings are distributed to various churches in form of offerings and harambee contributions.
Among the deductions in the payslip include a loan that he said was taken to pay for the plastic surgery and hospital bills of the Sinai tragedy victims.
