The Shady Oaks Elementary PTA hosted a Healthy Lifestyles Event at the school, featuring a Camp Gladiator workout, obstacle course, Zumba, and Piyo Yoga, all designed for parents and students to do together. The Hurst Police Department, the Dental Studio of Hurst, Preferred Therapy Services, Sprouts, and Complete Nutrition gave presentations for each grade level. And in case that still wasn't enough, the PTA gathered $2,500 in prizes to help encourage families to attend! The amazing event, chaired by Jewelie Ramos, was featured in the Texas PTA monthly email newsletter.
