Instagram graphics can make or break your account. People are always scrolling and if you do not catch their attention they are going to keep going and not bother to see what you are all about and scroll down to see what else you have done in the past. Do your first 6 graphics describe you? If not, then it is time for Instagram housekeeping and getting your graphics in shape.
Tips for Great Instagram Graphics
Your Instagram Graphics can be fabulous by following the 3 C’s
Clear
Consistent
Colorful
Clear: Instagram images that are blurry are NOT appealing. Most people will not try to squint and figure out what the picture is supposed to be. Odds are that it will be skipped over in the newsfeed and no one will even bother to give it a heart or comment. If you have a picture that you love that turned out blurry and you MUST showcase it, try cleaning it up with different features in some programs like PicMonkey or some apps. It may help to make it a little easier on the eyes. If at all possible, if the picture is not a good one, don’t post it.
Consistent: Imagine your Instagram feed as a catalog. A lovely feed of beautiful images that have a common look and feel. You want your feed to be so appealing that people will want to stop and heart multiple images and say how much they enjoy them. Consistency can be determined by a number of factors such as:
Filter
Brightness
Fonts
Color Scheme
Subject Matter
You want as many of these factors as possible to remain the same. It makes you easily recognizable and makes for a great looking catalog feed.
Colorful: Vibrant colors tend to grab the eye. This also includes visibly appealing combinations like black and white. Whatever you choose, you want to stick with it. The more attractive the images, the more likely people will stop to see what it is, especially when they are searching through the explore section. If the image is colorful and beautiful, people will want to click through, see what it is and possibly even like your account. Your next sale could only be an image away!
If you create your images or take your photos with the 3 C’s in mind, you will notice a big difference in how your feed is received.
