Wednesday 23 November 2016: Hearst Magazines UK, the publisher of Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar, announces the appointment of Paul Cassar as its new Chief Digital Officer.

Currently VP International Operations at digital publishing company Say Media, Paul will join the business in January 2017 with responsibility for driving Hearst’s digital audience, revenues and expertise. Reporting to CEO Anna Jones, he will work closely in partnership with Hearst’s Chief Revenue Officer Duncan Chater.

Paul has almost 30 years experience in the media industry. In his role at Say Media, Paul oversees all sales, strategy and operations for Canada and the UK with responsibility for CSM platform partnership recruitment and international corporate development. Paul has been at Say Media since 2008, originally joining as Canadian Sales Director. Prior to that Paul ran the national sales operation across Canadian newspaper company Communications Voir.

Darren Goldsby, Hearst’s current Chief Digital Officer, has decided to leave the business at the start of next year, to work on several digital start-up projects.
