I’m a recent photography enthusiast. I wanted to have a a few lenses for my nikon d5100. I have the 18-55 vr and 55-200 vr lens and this set just makes it that more complete for a novice. Both lenses fit and work perfectly on my d5100. Right out of the box, you can feel it’s a quality product for the material it was made with. No gripes or complaints about this order. Both items worked per description and that’s what matters most. The added bonus is the letter from the president of the company, with a signature… The letter pretty much backs up the product 100%. i’ll order from them again, without hesitation, if i need anymore accessories.

I received a Zeikos 2X Telephoto lens and a Vivitar 0.43X wide angle converter with Macro. I tested both lenses indoors and outdoors using the Nikor kit lens (AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm) and an AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm lens, both in autofocus mode. The wide angle convertor performed well with both lenses. My only complaint was small dark areas on the corners of some of the outdoor pictures. The Telephoto worked well with the 18-55mm lens, both indoors and outdoors. Unfortunately the focus was soft with the 55-200mm lens. This could probably be overcome if you are good at manual focusing, but is a definite problem when using autofocus. In short I am pleased with the wide angle lens, but disappointed with the 2X as I had really planned on using it with the 55-200mm lens. The problem may not be the telephoto lens, but the focusing ability of the 55-200mm lens. Either way it is not usable for what I had initially intended it for.
The price is excellent for two lenses and I am keeping them, which is why I gave it four stars.

The quality of the product itself is great; no complaints there, but don’t expect “telephoto” or “wide angle” quality photos with these adapters. You’ll get somewhat closer or wider shots but the lens does not give you the clarity you would get with a devoted telephoto or wide angle lens.There is a lot of edge distortion and blur, which is fine if you’re going for an artsy effect, but I wasn’t. Just know what you’re photographing before you shoot and these adapters can work well with trial and error.
